Ongwediva Rural Development Centre
The Ongwediva Rural Development Centre is situated in the Oshana region within 10 km east of Oshakati, Namibia.
The main mandate of Rural Development Centre Ongwediva is the design, development, fabrication and diffusion of appropriate technologies in response to the community needs, in association with the relevant change agencies, in order to improve the quality of life of Namibians.
The centre is serving the development needs of Omusati , Oshana, Ohangwena and Oshikoto regions through training, trials, appropriate technology and outreach programs in coordination with national in-service and non formal training programs in the regions. The centre will work towards own sustainable income development through the commercial hire of the centre’s facilities to conduct training courses, seminars, workshops and the sales of appropriate technology products.
